Gästrecension: A genuine five star hotel...buffet breakfast and buffet dinner at their Tides restaurant were absolutely superb. Room was also superb, with balcony and bathtub.

Gästrecension: I had the pleasure of staying at the Galle Face & it was an experience to remember. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and offered a complimentary drink, setting a positive tone for my stay. I had booked a Regency room, which is the standard option and was delighted to receive an upgrade to a room with a partial sea view. This thoughtful gesture made my trip truly special, and I am grateful to the staff who made it happen. The staff throughout my stay were exceptional; warm, welcoming, and attentive. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe at the Hotel, which was predominantly staffed by men. Their professionalism and friendliness made me feel right at home. My upgraded room was beautiful, with an amazing view of the outdoor area and sea that kept me smiling throughout my stay. The room was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was well-equipped with both a bathtub and a shower. The shower was spacious, and the vanity area provided plenty of room for my essentials. The room included a writing desk, a coffee table, and chair, offering a comfortable spot to relax. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to the beach and the bustling areas. I loved sitting close to the sea, listening to the waves, and enjoying the serenity. On my first night, I ordered room service, and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. Breakfast was included in my stay, and the variety was impressive. I also dined at one of the on-site restaurants for dinner one night. One of the highlights of my stay was experiencing the sunset and lowering of the Sri Lankan flag from the outdoor area. It was an emotional and memorable experience that I will cherish. Watching the sun go down was breath-taking, and there was plenty of space to enjoy it without feeling cramped. Everything about my stay at the Galle Face Hotel was exceptional. The combination of historical charm, modern comforts, attentive staff, and beautiful surroundings made it an unforgettable experience.

Gästrecension: The breakfast was amazing, and the rooms were great. We asked them to switch us from a wooden-floored room to a carpeted one, and they did so with no hassle. The in-room food service was also very good.
